Privacy Policy
BlurSnap is built by Boring Apps ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app and this website handle — the short version: your screenshots never leave your computer, and we collect as little as possible.
1. Your screenshots stay on your device
All image capture, blurring, and editing happen locally on your computer. Your screenshots and their contents are never uploaded, transmitted to us, or seen by anyone else. BlurSnap contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no AI or cloud processing.
2. When the app connects to the internet
BlurSnap only makes network requests for two purposes:
- License activation and validation. When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a machine identifier (your computer name) to our licensing provider to enforce the one-device-per-key limit. It occasionally re-checks the key to confirm it is still valid.
- Update checks. The app downloads a small version file to see whether a newer release is available. No personal data is sent during an update check.
3. Purchases
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects the information needed to complete the purchase (such as your name, email address, payment details, and billing country for tax purposes). We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license key and provide support. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. 4. Support
If you email us for support, we use your email address and message solely to respond to and resolve your request.
5. This website
This website is static and does not use tracking cookies or analytics. It loads a web font (Google Fonts) and an icon library from a content delivery network; when your browser fetches those files, the provider may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the request. We do not combine this with any other information or use it to identify you.
6. Data retention
We keep order and license records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data associated with your order (your email address) by contacting us. Note that we may need to retain certain records where required by law.
8. Children
BlurSnap is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to consent to data processing in their country.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent change.
